Love Your Block

May 19th, 2012 A Community Voice members gather to clean up the 1300 block of Forstall Street in the Lower 9th Ward.  Across from Bonart Playground and swimming pool and 3 blocks from where school children, the elderly and single women catch the bus, was an open and un-boarded abandoned home and overgrown area.  ACV members cleaned this blight up as a part of the City’s Love Your Block.  Thanks to the City for a $500 gift care to buy equipment, the small businesses in the Lower 9th Ward who donated water and garbage bags and to the many volunteers for their hard work.
